Test Prep For 2017

If you are a medical student or doctor trying to practice medicine in the United States, you must pass all the Steps of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE). 2017 is soon approaching, so if you have not passed all your Steps, you should prepare to take them next year. In order to do so, you should prepare yourself thoroughly to ensure that you pass on your first attempt with high scores.
First you should take a practice examination for your USMLE Step to test your knowledge. This will allow you to see what level you are at and what topics you should work on. Then you should make a list of subjects that you need to study from your examination results.
If you feel overwhelmed or are in need of assistance with your studies, you should attend a USMLE review program. These structured programs will guide your USMLE preparation to ensure you maximize your time and money. USMLE prep courses also will give you the most up-date information about the changes of the format and types of questions asked in each USMLE Step. Each review program is different, so find the right test prep that meets your needs, such as including one-on-one tutoring and practice questions.
During your studies, you should not only review the various topics within each subject area, but you should also answer multiple questions about what you have studied to test your knowledge. After completing your studies but before taking your actual USMLE, you should take another practice examination, to see exactly how much you have mastered. This will give you an estimate about what you will score on your USMLE Step prior to your actual test.
Once you have passed a practice exam and feel more confident that you have mastered your USMLE content, you should schedule your actual USMLE Step. During the time in which it takes to process your application to take the examination, you should review the USMLE content again and answer as many questions as you can find. You should take and pass at least two practice exams before sitting for your actual USMLE.
