The National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) is very strict about which items can be taken into the testing center for the USMLE. They have released an authorized list of items that can be brought into the testing facility. All other items should left at home or can be stored in the small locker provided by the testing facility. Do not bring any study materials or audio players into the center. You are allowed to bring snacks with you, but they must be stored in the locker and consumed only during permitted breaks from the examination.
