The United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) is a standardized test for medical students and doctors to prove they have mastered their medical knowledge and skills throughout their medical school and training. It is an examination that all physicians must pass prior to practicing medicine in the United States. There are four major USMLE Steps that they must pass during and after medical school and residency training.
The USMLE is a test which is graded on a scale. Its scoring is based for the fact that 75% of US medical students/ doctors should pass. It is biased so that US medical students/ doctors can pass their examinations and practice medicine in the US. For tips check in here.
The USMLE is not written or scored to promote the success of international medical students or graduates. These test takers will only pass if they fall under or ahead of the grading curve of 75% of US medical students/doctors. If there is a choice between a US medical student/ doctor or an international medical student/ doctor passing, the US student/ doctor will pass.
The USMLE is not biased to men or women, but there are more females in medical school than men, so more women are passing their USMLE Steps than men. Therefore there are more females practicing medicine in the United States than men.
So if you were to ask who performs best on the USMLE, the answer would be female medical students/ doctors who attended a US medical school.
